A Cowboy Kind of Love
She came for the story. She never meant to fall for the cowboy.
Lifestyle photographer Roberta “Bobby” Tapley arrives in the Texas Hill Country determined to focus on work—not the heartbreak she left behind. Just another assignment: a beautiful spread, a magazine feature, and a chance to move forward. What she doesn’t expect is Cavanagh Creek Ranch, with its bluebonnets blanketing the vast Texas landscape and its expansive night sky, and ranch owner Wyatt Cavanagh, who makes her forget she has a flight home.
Wyatt expected the photographer from New York to be a man. He also expected her to stay out of his way. He doesn’t trust city women who are just passing through; he learned that lesson the hard way. He only agreed to the feature because his struggling ranch needs the publicity, not because he wants a stranger documenting everything he’s fighting to hold on to.
But Bobby doesn’t photograph failures. Through her lens, Wyatt begins to see the ranch and himself in a new light. And in his steady strength and deep-rooted love for the land, Bobby finds something she didn’t know she was missing: the feeling of finally being home.
Then her editor offers a new angle that could save Bobby’s career—and expose the very thing Wyatt is trying to protect. Now she must choose between the opportunity she came for and the man, the ranch, and the life she never expected to love.
Perfect for fans of: grumpy/sunshine, he falls first, forced proximity, opposites attract, city girl meets cowboy, found family, and small town romances.
