Lifestyle photographer Roberta “Bobby” Tapley arrives in the Texas Hill Country determined to focus on work — not the heartbreak she left behind. Just another assignment: a beautiful spread, a magazine feature, and a chance to move forward. What she doesn’t expect is Callahan Creek Ranch — the bluebonnets blanketing the back pasture, the vast night sky, or ranch owner Wyatt Callahan, who makes her forget she has a flight home.

Wyatt expected the photographer from New York to be a man. He also expected her to stay out of his way. He doesn’t trust city women who are just passing through; he learned that lesson the hard way.
